SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON COVID-19 VACCINE CLAIMS
As with any new and unfamiliar life changing occurrences, the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine on risk cover has naturally raised a few concerns and uncertainties. Misinformation abounds and social media is on the forefront of delivering mixed messages.
We would like to clear the air and reassure our clients that the terms and conditions of their existing policies have no specific exclusions relating to any vaccines.
The terms and conditions as stipulated in your Life Assurance contracts are used as the foundation for how your policy will respond when you need it at the time of any claim. We have confirmed with our Insurers that valid claims on your Life Assurance policy will be honoured even if you have been vaccinated.
You can therefore have peace of mind in your decision to be vaccinated In the knowledge that your Life cover will not be impacted by this decision.
Please continue practicing safe hygiene, remain vigilant and healthy. Wash and sanitize your hands frequently, use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough and immediately discard the tissue. Should you show signs of any cold symptoms after being in direct contact with a person who has tested positive for the Coronavirus, please self-isolate and contact your doctor.
